The Pueblo Pintado community is located about 17 miles southeast of the world famous Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Navajos have lived in and around Pueblo Pintado since the 1600's. It is located in the center of the six most-eastern chapters within Eastern Navajo Agency. Continental Divide runs through the chapter area. Scenic views of Navajo land can be experienced as one drives east on Navajo Route 9 towards Torreon.
The Pueblo Pintado Chapter conducts monthly meetings to keep residents informed; residents have a forum to express their opinions to their Navajo Nation Council Delegate or to decide on matters concerning their chapter.
